| U-tsang refers to the Tibet Autonomous Region of today. Tibetans are thought of have originated and historically, U-tsang was a key center of politics, economy, and culture. Its territory includes Naqu, Rikaze, Shannan, Linzhi, Gongbu and Heituo. |

| Kham is located between Amduo and Weizang. It is one of the Tibetan regions. Kham was the source of Tibetan military power in the past centuries. It has wide territory that including Changdu in Tibet region, Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Sichuan province, Yushu Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Qinghai province, Delche Tibetan autonomous prefecture in Yunnan province. |
